The House Pavilion, Urban Splash
Urban Splash introduce us to their sales suite of the future at the new neighbourhood of Inholm in Cambridgeshire.
Designed by award-winning architecture practice shedkm, Urban Splash’s House Pavilion looks to reimagine the traditional sales suite. Featuring two oversized pitched rooves, this structure welcomes potential customers into an exposed timber interior, filled with natural light. Urban Splash hopes to roll out this concept across the country, bringing a Pavilion to the centre of every major new house site.
Externally clad in black-painted radiata pine, the minimalist structure houses a state-of-the-art combined reception and multi-media exhibition space, alongside a remote workspace and sales suite. A welcoming environment for potential customers, the House Pavilion allows homebuyers to explore homes coming up for completion, delve into the rich history of the location and explore the future vision for the contemporary Fenland village. This is all provided via a combination of touchscreens displays, virtual reality, architectural models and bespoke publications.
Nest Contracts worked closely with the Urban Splash interior design team to provide a collection of furniture and accessories to complement this forward-thinking interior. As the project required pieces with relatively short lead times, brands such as Ferm Living and Muuto were the perfect choice for both style and availability. Dark, bold colours were incorporated wherever possible, with pieces such as the ferm LIVING Turn Sofa and Muuto Airy Coffee Table specified as key sculptural shapes.
