Latis Group
Latis Group has recently completed an impressive new office space in central London. Working alongside Nest Contracts, the new headquarters presents a contemporary and functional space that reflects its unique identity.
The project was a true collaboration between Latis Group’s in-house design team and Nest Contracts, who provided the furniture and expertise to bring the vision to life.
From the beginning of the design process, the team had a clear vision of creating an open-plan layout that effortlessly balanced collaborative spaces with smaller pockets of privacy.
Speaking to Latis’ Head of Visualisation, Tomás Val, it is clear they had a strong vision for the project. “As a design-led company specialising in scalable housing solutions, it was crucial for us to strike a balance between a modern aesthetic and a professional corporate atmosphere. This fusion of design elements aimed to foster a creative and productive environment for our team while also making a strong impression on our clients and partners.”
Douglas, our Nest Contracts Sales Representative, worked with Latis to carefully curate a selection of high-quality designs that complemented the bespoke joinery of the space. Chairs were selected with a balance of design, comfort, and budget in mind, ultimately resulting in a flexible and welcoming space.
To provide a low visual impact while also delivering ergonomic comfort, the project team opted for the Vitra Physix Swivel Chairs. These chairs were ideal for the office’s open-plan layout and helped create a harmonious balance between style and function.
The Muuto Fiber Armchairs were chosen as an alternate boardroom chair, offering an attractive and comfortable seating option without compromising on style or quality.
Finally, with their iconic form, the Knoll Cesca Chairs were seen as the perfect choice to link the window area to the office area and tie the whole space together.
One of the standout features of the office space is the meeting room. Designed to create a lasting impression on clients and potential investors while providing a comfortable and adaptable space for virtual calls or team meetings, it was important that the space was considered with aesthetics and functionality. The space features a bespoke bookcase, an AV wall, and a small seating area for those seeking a more relaxed working environment.
For this area, the team were keen to source a standout upholstered lounge chair that would not only meet safety requirements but also maintain the chair’s comfort and beauty. With its generously shaped cushions and strong character, the Fogia Bollo Lounge Chair was a fitting choice, upholstered in Kvadrat Divina 3, a Crib-5 full-cloth fabric.
To achieve a look that aligned with its brand identity, Latis considered each element of the space and how the furniture would interact. Accent walls featuring branding colours add visual interest and reinforce the company’s identity, while engineered wood flooring and new carpets create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
“We meticulously chose furniture pieces and other design elements to ensure they worked together seamlessly within the open-plan setting. This attention to detail allowed us to create a cohesive and visually appealing environment that not only supports our team’s productivity but also enhances the overall aesthetic of the space.” Head of Visualisation, Tomás Val
