Park Hill Apartment, Urban Splash
Urban Splash and Places for People open the doors to the newest homes at Sheffield’s iconic, Grade II listed Park Hill.
With homes designed by Stirling Prize-winning architects Mikhail Riches, Phase 2 of Park Hill offers a selection of inviting apartments with fantastic views over Sheffield. A joint venture between Urban Splash and Places for People, Phase 2 continues the redevelopment of this iconic Sheffield building, which began in 2007 following decades of decline. The successfully completed Phase 1 has already created 260 homes and 33,000 sq. ft of commercial space.
Nest Contracts were delighted to work on a project within Park Hill, a building that is close to our hearts and soon to be the home of the new Nest showroom. The Contracts Sales Team worked closely with the interior designers at Urban Splash to source furniture for a show apartment within Phase 2 of the development.
Nest Contracts provided help and expert advice throughout the entire sourcing process. Thanks to a thorough understanding of the needs of the client and a strong existing relationship, they could specify products and make suggestions that would work in perfect harmony with the project’s design intentions and schedule.
As a show apartment, it was important for the space to inspire potential buyers with possibilities for the space and present a sense of flexibility. Multifunctional designs such as the Softline Frame Daybed were incorporated, providing seating in the home office area whilst also offering a place for guests to sleep when needed.
To make the most of the generous open-plan living spaces, products were specified to help define and separate the living areas. The HAY Copenhague Round Table and HAY About A Chairs were used to create an inviting dining spot, whilst the Hem Palo Sofa and Muuto Stacked shelving system were used to provide a flexible lounge area. Alongside these items, Nest Contracts sourced office furniture, shelving, storage, and a wealth of designer accessories for the Park Hill apartment.
The items sourced for the project were handled and delivered by Nest Contracts’ trusted delivery partner, Atlas of London. Atlas dedicated install team are trained to the highest standard in line with the quality of products and as part of the service, all unwanted packaging is removed by them after installation.
